The 2008 Ha Long Tourism Festival opened Saturday at Bai Chay Ferry Station in the capital of northern Quang Ninh Province, drawing more than 10,000 guests. More than 3,000 professional and amateur actors and actresses took part in a street parade. Other highlights were an exhibition of 10 model cars decorated with flowers, six large moving stages, 100 tourist vessels, dragon boats and dragon ferries.
