PLACES TO VISIT IN VIETNAM-DONG VAN
Dong Van is the district, located right in Dong Van Rock Plateau. Dong Van Plateau stretched over four districts in Ha Giang Province: Quan Ban, Yen Minh, Dong Van and Meo Vac. Dong Van is the capital town of Dong Van District. As Dong Van has unique natural, cultural values, Dong Van Rock Plateau is recognized as the Geopark by UNESCO on 3rd October 2010. Dong Van Plateau is the only Geopark in Vietnam and South East Asia. Dong Van has an area of more than 500 square kilometers and Dong Van is at the height from 1000 to 1.600 meters. Dong van has long history of formation and there is far difference between dry and rainy season. Dong van is the home of 250.000 people who belong to 17 different hill tribe groups. The major population is H’mong, Dao, Nung and Tay people. Dong Van owns amazing landscapes of mountains, rice fields, rivers and valleys. Dong van is also offers stunning view which would satisfy any travelers coming to Dong van. As there are many different minority people living together and each of those has their own culture, language, traditional costumes, and lifestyle. Those leave Dong Van privilege to be one of the great places to visit in Vietnam for both domestic and foreign travelers. Dong van is about 400 kilometers from Hanoi and the only way to travel to Dong Van is by road. Many travelers who love adventure holiday in Vietnam choose motorbikes as the way of transport to get to Dong Van.
